The
talented young baritone Dionysios Tsaousidis was
born in Stuttgart. After starting with piano lessons at 12, two
years later he commenced studying at the Stuttgart Music School.
Currently, he studies singing at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart
under Professor Vejzovic Dunya; he has also participated in master
classes with Peter Schreier and Francisco Araiza. Among many roles
in opera and the musical, Dionysios has played the Professor in
‘Dance of the Vampires’, Tevye in ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, Germano in
‘La Scala di Seta’ and Masetto in ‘Don Giovanni’ (and also played
in the Stuttgart Staatstheater’s production of ‘Figaro Gets a
Divorce’). In 2010, he obtained a contract with the Staatsoper
Stuttgart. Dionysios is the recipient of awards from the German
Schubert Society and the Wagner Foundation.
