A former student of renowned Russian pianist and teacher Dmitri Bashkirov, Eldar currently records for the Naxos label. His debut album, Rachmaninov’s Preludes op 23 and 32 earned the Classicstoday.com praise “ close to stunning … Nebolsin’s is a truly exceptional excursion into the music of Rachmaninov “, while his second album released the following year, Liszt Piano Concertos No 1 and 2 and Totentanz with the
Liverpool Philharmonic and Vassily Petrenko, earned top place on Naxos’ Bestseller’s Digital Platform for six consecutive months and these words from American Record Guide: " Clearly he has this music in his fingers…There is sheer pyrotechnic display on offer here that rivals the best on my shelf… He commands a formidable dynamic range; yet he knows when to caress the keys… (he) may well be the Richter of his
 generation "

At the 2012 Indian Summer in Levoca Festival, Eldar will give a solo recital of the music of Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Chopin; with the Stamic Quartet he will perform the Piano Quintet of César Franck; and he will play Mozart's C minor Piano Concerto with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra.
